War Between the States Pontoon Bridges

Question:
I have a question about War Between the States pontoon boats. I confess ignorance on the subject but I want to learn. How big were the pontoon boats utilized during the war? What were their soldier caring capacity during an initial crossing prior to be connected to the bridge?

I am currently doing some personal research on the battle on the north end of Missionary Ridge and have read that General Sherman had 120 pontoon boats at his disposal in North Chickamauga Creek to cross the Tennessee River in the early morning hours of 24 November 1863 in his move on Cleburne's position on the right flank of the Army of Tennessee.

Answer:
If you can find an O.R. atlas it has very good diagrams of pontoon boats , showing their size and such.
