Question:
I have been looking to buy a 1-2 year old bass boat, and have narrowed my
search down to either a Skeeter, Triton, or Ranger. I really like the layout
and design of the skeeters, but I have been reading a few negative things
concerning their hulls. I know that you usually only ever hear about the
problems, so that is why I am asking this question to this group.
What have all of you heard or experienced concerning the Skeeter brand ?
Do they have any more problems with gel coat cracks than any other brand ?
If you had to choose the ideal brand, which would it be?

A friend of mine has an 18' Triton, and I am mightily impressed by the fit,
finish and layout. I have ridden in Rangers and Skeeters and they seem to be
pretty well laid out and strongly put together, but I would buy Triton if money
were not a consideration. It is totally composite and very strong as well as
very light.
