Question:
like Champion, Ranger and Stratos) versus somewhat more of a family boat like
a bass/ski boat. My concern about the latter is that the fishing decks are
small and the resale value may not be as good. Problem is that the kids think
the comfortable seats in the bass/ski boat are worth the extra hassle. I'm
concerned about the windshield being in the way, and big hassle for fishing.
We want to be able to ski, but a bass boat allows for that as well, by
adding a ski pole, and a bass boat can actually seat four or even five people,
or so I hear (a 19' or greater with bow cushions). Fishing and skiing
with the whole family is an event probably occuring only two months out
of the year. Someone who has wrestled with this problem could give some good
advice.
Answer:
Both Chris-Craft and Sunbird offer a combination fishing and skiing
boat. The come with live wells and a ski tow. Check these out, they may
be exactly what you require.
