Im in the process of restoring a very old (1960) 8' aluminum boat. There is
some kind of brown sealer in all the seams that is cracked and brittle. After I
scrape all that stuff out, whats the best thing to seal it back up with?

You might also want to consider epoxy resin with a little bit
of glass - just enough to cover the joint - sand and paint as
needed.
