Does anyone know a good party boat for salmon near San Francisco or
near by towns?
Answer:
Chucky's Pride at Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco. The skippers don't
treat their passengers like idiots and do a pretty good job of searching
for the fish.
However, be forewarned that the minimum size limits were raised from 20
inches to 26 inches this year, and it's been a terrible year as far as
the number of keepers being landed. At one time this summer, the Feds
were using Coast Guard cutters to make sure no one fished for salmon
outside the 3 mile limit (all politics). They're no longer out there,
but 1996 has been a bizarre year thanks to the farmers and their
political allies.
