Your opinion on the Best made ocean worthy fishing / family boat.?

Question:
Your opinion on the Best made ocean worthy fishing / family boat.? I presently have a Cobalt 24 and 1/2 foot open bow rider that I just love. It is made just perfectly... in fact that is one of reasons that I bought it..

However, I boat in Long Beach Island NJ and want to go out on the ocean. I don't have that safe comfortable feeling that I want with this boat going into rough water and passing through the larger wakes on the intercostal.

So now I am thinking of making a trade-in the end of this season or the beginning of next for another new boat. one that is made like the Cobalt quality but more ocean worthy.. I don't really care for the a cabin as I find them more sickening than useful. I also think that I should be getting 2 engines this time to make sure I am getting back. Any tips or advice from anybody?

Answer:
-Look at the better known "high quality" names in the fishing boat category, that meet your needs with their cruising options. Pursuit, Cabo, Black Fin, Bertram, Grady White, etc.....

Generally, if the boat is meant to be sold and marketed as an offshore fisherman, it will be designed to hold up to that use. I put my last two Pursuit fishing boats in this category. My 28' Denali took me from Boston, around Manhattan, and up to the Canadian line via Lake Champlain last year. A good all around fishing boat and cruiser. So far my 30' has proven to be that much better.
