Help with my 1994 Nitro DC2000 Bass Boat Performance

Question:
Help with my 1994 Nitro DC2000 Bass Boat Performance I want to make my boat run faster.....it runs 59-60 mph/speedo and GPS... 1994 Nitro DC2000, 200 hp Merc. carb., 25 pitch Predator 4 blade..... I want to install a jackplate, hydraulic steering, and maybe some engine modifications. Is there anyone that can help me?? I might even try a new Merc Trophy

Answer:
-.how fast do you want it to go? 70? 80? 90?

Start with a jackplate and nosejob from Bob's Machine Shop. With luck, you'll pick up 5 mph or so.

-Most bang for the buck is getting the right prop and having it "tuned" for your boat. Try Boger Kustom Propeller: http://users.txk.net/rboger

The jackplate is a little more work and has some downside (potential water pickup problems, stress on the transon), but will boost performance.

Also, visit the Nitro Owners Website at http://members.aol.com/NitroOwners and post your question on the message board there. At least one contributor there has a 190DC, don't know if anyone has the 20' model.

-1994 Nitro DC2000 Bass Boat probably has a legitimate shot at mid to high 60s, which is middle of the pack for bass rigs with 20' hulls and 200 or more HP these days.
