Question:
I'm considering buying an 18' Glastron Fish/Ski. Anyone out there
familiar with this boat? An opinion on Glastrons in general??
Answer:
- Never owned a fish & ski but I've had allot of people tell me they're really
not very good for either fishing or skiing. When I was shopping for one,
everyone, including the salespeople at two dealerships, told me to buy a
dual console bass boat, or a center console bay boat instead.
- I used to own a 1990 Sea Ray 180 with the Fish and Ski package. IMO it was
good for both skiing and fishing. Both the bow and the rear of the boat
turned into fishing platforms in seconds. When we wanted to ski, we would
put the cushions back in, and it was like any open bow speed boat. Also, I
had the outboard on mine, so it had more room in the rear of the boat.
- I bought a Four Winns Fish and Ski this year and have found it to
be a great combination boat - fishing, skiing, or crusing.
