Champion Bass Boat, Opinions please

Question:
Champion Bass Boat, Opinions please As some of you know I am fishing major tournaments this year and have decided to buy a new boat. Although Ranger is high on my list, due to sponsor possibilities, I am also looking at other boats.

My biggest concern is ride in rough water. As I need a boat that will handle rough water I have been told that Champion is by far the best riding boat.

Does anyone have personal experience and know how good Champions are?

Also a local dealer here has a 95 (never in the water) that has the special order composite hull. The dealer said the composite hull reduces the weight by 200 lbs and increases the speed of the boat. Does anyone see any drawbacks with this hull?

Answer:
-I bought a 95 Champion 186dc and as far as I'm concerned I'll never own another boat other than a Champion. You need to ride to decide.

-- I bought my Champion about 8 years ago. It is the third boat that I have owned (first Champion) and I will never own anything else. I have been in some VERY rough water on Sam Rayburn, and was thankful for being in the boat I was in. What makes it better in rough water i believe, is that the sides of the boat are somewhat higher out of the water than other boats such as the ranger. In my opinion, there is no better boat than the Champion, though the Ranger is probably close. Hope this helps a little.
