Question:
I was surprised to learn that there are no authorized Furuno
service centers in my area (Chicago) or so I was told by
Furuno. Apparently Furuno prefers you send any products
needing repair to their service centers in Denton, MD or
San Francisco, CA. My GP-1600 (GPS Plotter) has a sticky
power button, turning on/off erratically, and I had to send
it in
Answer:
-Michigan is East, Escanaba is North and stinky Indiana is
sorta South East.
-Garmin and Lowrance always want me to "send it in". Every time I do,
they never fix my problem. They just keep sending me brand new units
with the latest firmware, upgrades and plenty of new battery
packs
-, maybe my DGPS 53 needs to develope a "Problem"...nah, the damn thing
works to perfect to send in. That thing is the best most reliable piece of
electronics I've ever owned, I clamp it on to every boat I get sent to to use
for chartplotting on my laptop and mount it on the mirror post of my truck for
the street atlas. Now if Garmin would only start making laptops.... That unit
has out lasted 2 laptops now.
