Question:
Being that it's that time of year when a man's fancy turns to thoughts
of largemouth bass, I'm wondering where some of the best boat/motor
rental places are in and around the Chicagoland area.
I'm thinking about 14-16 foot boats with a 8-10 HP motor. Just to take
2-3 people out on a lake for a days worth of fishing. Some place that's
on the banks of a lake, not something that would have to be hauled to
the shore.

I used to, years ago, go to Pinky Harrisons on the Chain'O"lakes, and
also another place on Deep Lake. But that was years ago.
-I used to have a small boat that I'd launch at Busse Woods in Elk Grove,
near Woodfield. They would also rent small boats there that looked pretty
new and were reasonably priced. Not a class A muskie lake but we took a few
nice large mouth and smiles. No gas power was allowed so if you heard a
motor you knew it was Ranger Rick and had plenty of time to snap out of it.
