Question:
Anyone who has experience installing a marine grade carpet pad on a bass
boat, who was your supplier for the pad?
Answer:
-I've never had a boat where a pad was used under the carpet. Carpet to
glass,carpet to wood, carpet to aluminum. I can get a foot massage after I
come off the water
- I remember reading a post somewhere
or reading a magazine article about making your boat quieter. It
mentioned a closed cell foam you could use under the marine carpeting.
It did not absorb water and worked very well. Maybe I should break
out the Beam and Coke and see if it helps any
-I did a addition for a customer that runs an elder care
place out of there home. Under the carpet was a closed cell
foam, black in color, that was water proof. It was there to
protect the floor from any of the residence that where
incontinent.The pad was glued to the floor with a
contact type cement.
