Question:
I'm looking for a two-person pontoon boat or a small raft that is set up
for fishing. I seem to remember there was one available a couple years
ago, but don't remember the company, however. If you know of any,
especially if you have used them, let me know.
Answer:
-I'm almost certain the King Fisher Company in Sandpoint, Idaho has one.
At least they used to. According to an article in the latest issue of
Fly Rod & Reel their telephone number is 208-263-0548.
-The Kingfisher All Around is suitable for two people. I just got mine a
couple of weeks ago. I've only used it twice, both times on still water
and it works great. I even put an electric trolling motor on it. Sure
beats having to row or kick. The pontoons are 11 ft. 3 inches long and
there is plenty of floatation for two people, maximum loat is 500-600
lbs. The passenger would sit on the rear deck which is quite large,
perhaps using a cooler for a seat. I don't know how well it would work if
both people were trying to fish at the same time. You would certainly
have to be careful to syncronize your casting. They have a Web page at:
